About
Epistemic infrastructure, the processes and institutions by which truths about the world are discovered and disseminated, is a core pillar of human civilization. Until the 20th century, epistemic infrastructure improved slowly: philosophy developed logic and systematic argument, the scientific revolution established empirical methods, the enlightenment spread these ideas, and the 20th century built large research institutions and much refined our scientific and philosophical methods.
Now in the 21st century it is our turn to improve our epistemic infrastructure, inspect what our ancestors left us, tear down the portions that are no longer useful, repair the cracks in the foundations, and build new and more beautiful wonders on top.
That is the main concern of this blog. Although I might also blog about other stuff as well.
